It is important to prepare your best for the actual pitch, but it’s also imperative that you are prepared for follow up questions and conversations. One helpful way to prepare is to set up a data room. A data room is a repository of documents that can be easily shared with prospective investors. Your data room should include detailed financial statements, your company’s history, specific information about your market, information about the management team, a copy of your presentation, and other relevant documents. We also suggest setting it up on a service like Dropbox to avoid sharing large files over email.
